Danny is that rare candidate that means what he says and says what he means.  His platform brings power back to the people of Staten Island. He is upset at the politicians who have put their careers and special interests ahead of those of their constituents.

Danny is running for Assembly office to represent all those who want to bring government back to its proper place, to serve them and their best interests. Not those of a party, or a candidate or a donor.  But your best interests. Period.

We at the Daily Tea Party are happy to endorse this Constitutional patriot.  After meeting him around time at all the right events, and getting to know him, we know that Danny is the type of Candidate we want representing the Tea Party. He is honest, straight forward, and very educated on the issues. He backs his arguments with the Constitution and a well researched philosophical position. Danny is strong believer in second amendment rights, fiscal responsibility,  and will bring the corrupt establishment and Albany to task. We are confident Danny will not bend to special interests, but will stand by your best interests.

Message from Danny

We all know that Albany is broken. Partisan posturing and political pressure are the weapons of choice for the majority of our legislators. Staten Islanders are “mad as hell” and we aren’t going to take it anymore from Albany or Washington D.C. It is time the people of Staten Island rise up and take back our representative republic. This is why I chose to run for New York State Assembly. We need true grass roots representation in Albany. All we get year after year from both parties are professional politicians and lawyers who represent one sub-culture of the population: politicians.

Who pays for this nonsense? The taxpayers. Passing the budget is the most important task we assign our lawmakers in Albany, and this is the one task they consistently fail to accomplish. Then at the last minute we are forced to accept whatever emergency spending bills they push on us; with God only knows what kind of pork slipped in. This politics as usual technique of ruling over the middle class is at its end. The tea party movement is supporting candidates all over this country who are representing THEM, because they are “THEM”.

Despite the cheerleading from the main stream media the economy on Main Street is not recovering. The rate of unemployment is still rising and we need to take measures to create jobs in the small business sector, instead of creating more bureaucracy to create temporary government jobs. With fiscally responsibly policies, a reduction in taxes, and a drastic reduction in spending we can once again employ people in the private sector to solve the challenges we now face.

I am a true grass roots tea party candidate. I answer to no special interest group. I answer only to my creator who has put in me a raging desire to protect Liberty. As your representative in the New York State Assembly I will bridge the gap between Albany and Main Street by communicating what is going on in the legislature bringing much needed transparency to the political process in New York State. I will carry the voice of Main Street to Albany to be sure that we are heard! (Even if I have to bring my bullhorn.)

States Rights & Nullification

State Sovereignty/Rights is the single most important issue to be tackled at this juncture in history. Through State sovereignty we can stop any unconstitutional initiatives taken by the Federal govt. В When we accomplish a state sovereignty resolution in the great state of New York it will serve as a leader and example to the rest of the states and hopefully pave way for the tea party movement as a whole to make greater strides in shrinking the Federal government.More »

Support small business to create jobs..

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics New York boasts an 8.3% unemployment rate (May 2010) Small business is the number one job creator. We need to create the environment where small businesses can expand and create new jobs. The government needs to stay out of the economic stimulus business and allow the free market to function without fascist interventionist policy smothering all but the politically connected private sector. More »

A fiscally responsible Albany.

Our Assembly and Senate are scheduled to be in Albany only 66 days a year. It is a no-brainer that you need to be on the job to get a job done. How do they expect to have a budget done by April 1 when they have only 31work days to do it?В Rules should be in place to penalize our Assembly and Senate when the budget is not completed on time.

Transparent and accountable government.

Transparency is essential to the democratic process. New Yorkers need to be kept informed of the deliberations and decisions made by the legislature. To protect the rights of New Yorkers there must be openness and communication with their representatives. Transparency rules make it more difficult for abuses of the system and misuse of tax payer money. More »
