Time for a change in Ga. Meet John Monds Freedom Movement -Tea Party Candidate!

I saw a sign today that read, “”ANYBODY but DEAL!!””, And with ethics considered,,that makes a lot of sense., But, this year, we have another option, that hasnt garnerd much support in the past, The Libertarian Party. Not only have a few brave politicians stepped up to bat there,,but thousands of citizens have also stood up and said  NO MORE!,   to  the “lesser of two evils” approach to politics. Even if we dont get a Libertarian governor this year,,just like the Tea Partys, the Libertarian Party will be taken seriously in the future.

Vote John Monds Governor of Georgia!

John Monds is clearly the Freedom Movement’s choice in this race. Nathan Deal, his Republican (in name only) opponent, is a former Democrat, who according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Deal has “personally intervened with Georgia leaders to preserve an obscure state program that earns his company nearly $300,000 a year”.

It will make no difference to Georgians if a Democrat or Republican is elected to Governor this year.  We already know that both those candidates endorse ‘politics as usual’, and that they will make no meaningful change in the Peach State.  We hope to send a loud message to those who disregard the Constitution, that we will only support principled candidates, not those that happen to put a D or R in front of their name.

Here are his positions on the issues:

Tax Reform
Over the last few years there has been a tremendous focus on the state’s budget. The state legislature has continued out of control spending, paying for it with additional fees and taxes, coupled with taxpayer funds through federal stimulus spending. more…
Georgia’s Budget
If annual outlays are limited to keep up with population growth plus inflation, there is effectively no increase in government spending. According to the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, Georgia has been spending at a much faster rate over the last decade.  more..
Non-violent drug offenses
Georgia spends more than $1.2 billion on law enforcement, including $242 million in food and medical care for inmates. Of the 54,016 state prisoners in the corrections system (numbers as of FY 2008), 9,376, or 17% .  more…
Georgia’s Educational System
It is not that we aren’t investing in education; empirical evidence shows that we are, with over 55% of the state budget dedicated to education. It should be obvious that spending more is not the answer. more…
Energy
As your Governor, I will actively oppose any attempt by Congress to implement a cap-and-trade system and new CAFE standards on automobiles, both of which pose a threat to the economic prosperity of Georgia families…  more…
Transportation
While my opponents in this race, both Democrat and Republican, support billions in new taxes to pay for road expansion, new roads and mass transit, I oppose. more…
Jobs
As the economy struggles, nearly every Georgian is thinking about jobs. In our fair state, the rate of unemployment has risen since the end of 2008, and currently stands steadily near 10%, despite efforts by the federal and state governments to “fix” the problem through spending and further regulation of businesses.  more…
Water
Over the last few summers, the citizens of Georgia learned many lessons about the importance of our water resources due to less than average rainfall. At this time, we face an extraordinary situation over the usage of water from Lake Lanier, due to a decision from a Florida court.  more…
Second Amendment
As Governor of Georgia, I will veto any legislation that would prohibit, prevent, or impede Georgians from protecting themselves, their families or their property. more…
Marriage
As a Libertarian, I believe that government should only be involved in the legal – not the religious – aspect of marriage: a private contract struck between consenting adults. more…
Sunday Sales
The sale of alcohol on Sunday has widespread support among my fellow Georgians, however, the legislature has failed to pass necessary legislation toallow Sunday sales. Many legislators scoffed at the idea while saying there were bigger issues… more…
