Rahm Emanuel was senior advisor to President Clinton at the White House from 1993 to 1998 and served as a Representative from Illinois from 2003 until his resignation in 2009 to take up his position in the White House in 2008.
Controversially, Emanuel is a Dual Israeli citizen, has served in the Israeli Army, has confirmed that he has a lifetime commitment to Israel, and escorted President Obama to his first AIPAC speech to introduce him as a friend to Zionism and Israel. His father, Benjamin, was born in Jerusalem and was a member of the Zionist Paramilitary group Irgum, which many point out was a terrorist organization.
Wikipedia says this about the Irgum:
“The Irgun policy was based on what was then called Revisionist Zionism founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky. According to Howard Sachar, “The policy of the new organization was based squarely on Jabotinsky’s teachings: every Jew had the right to enter Palestine; only active retaliation would deter the Arabs; only Jewish armed force would ensure the Jewish state”.
Many people in the United States, and specifically in the Tea Party and the Freedom Movement are concerned about the concentration of Dual Israeli citizens in positions of power. Activist Gary Brown Jr. told us “I feel that dual citizens with ANY other country have no place in American positions of power.”
While it is difficult to investigate and source the history of most Dual Israeli citizens in power because of the heavy editing and distortion from Israeli paid trolls of content in the Internet; We at the Daily Tea Party will continue to keep an eye on the Chicago Mayoral race and what an Emanuel election will mean for the city.
Interview with Rahm Emanuel in which he admits serving in the Israeli Army and escorting Obama to AIPAC as a friend with loyalty to Israel.
